Thank you for responding but I really would like the catholic records for the additional info.
Whilst I symapthise with the 'lot of money ' you have spent, it does pay to make use of the free sites and information availble to you .
Catholic is considered a 'non conformist religion' and as such the familysearch had not in the passed digitalised any records concentrating primarily on CoE. It is only recently that the LDS ( Familysearch) has started to look at the Methodist / Catholic records etc. so your request is unreasonaable.
You will see from the listing on this site there are numerous RC churches in Stockport, and until recent years the records were held within the Diocese.
You will need to contact the holder of the records and ask for a search which could involve more £££'s or visit the office yourself.
http://www.ukbmd.org.uk/genuki/chs/stockport.htmlI looked at your post thinking I could help...living in close proximity to Stockport, however it lacked information and understanding, I consider the researchers on this site who are all volunteers didnot miss the point!
Maybe if you try again with how you reached Stockport i.e census & what you are missing and why you need the info you may get more info. However admonishing
Carole W who I see as a good researcher is not the way forward
For the benefit of those who have tried to help you ...
