Hi John,
Thanks very much for your input, particularly providing the surname for Mary Ann who married George Collins.
I run the Shoosmith One-Name Study Group and a branch of the Shoosmiths lived in Chesham. Stephen Shoosmith was excise supervisor of the Chesham district for nearly 30 years until 19 May 1825. In retirement, he took a second wife Mary, who was over 40 years younger than him and the couple had six children who were all under the age of 21 when Stephen died aged 86 in 1843. His wife pre-deceased him!
Stephen had two daughters by his first wife: Sarah who married Absalom Collins, father of George; and Ann who married George Arnott. Was Mary Ann Arnott who married George Junior a daughter of George and Ann Arnott? Cousins marrying would be logical and I have a note that George and Ann had a daughter Mary Arnott born in 1829. However, Arnott is a good Bucks name.
Yes, that's my Caroline Collins but I believe she married Reuben Pearce on 14 July 1871 in Great Missenden. I may be wrong and I don't know enough about the Collins and the Arnott families so any information you have will be invaluable for me as I try to track all descendants of Stephen Shoosmith of Chesham, not just the male line. We had a family reunion five years ago descendants of Stephen want the next one in Chesham.
My name is Ashton Emery and you can contact me on

Many thanks,
Ashton
