Looking for any information relating to Samuel Yarnal (Yarnall)

Born around 1724 probably in Chipping Camden.

Married a Dorothea Keyte in October 1746.

Any help would be appreciated.

Thank you

Hi Kevin,
I have, today, visited Glos Archives (GA) and checked the St James, Chipping Camden (Ref: PMF 81/1) baptism records 1722-1726, but the microfiche was very hard to read in places and I found no trace of a baptism for Samuel YARNAL/L.
The Bishops Transcripts (BTs) are available at GA, Ref: MF 523, and I'll have a look at them to see if I can find Samuel there and get back to you.

Hi Kevin,
Source: Glos Archives (GA) MF 523 (film) St James, Chipping Camden, BMDs:-
I have checked for a baptism for Samuel YARNEL/L, 1722-1726 and found no trace of a baptism, although, again, the film was unreadable in places.

Well I guess he might not have been baptised.

Anything else that you find relating to Yarnall around early 18th century would be of interest.

Probably at a dead end for the time being. You never know what might crop up in the future!!

Again, your help has been very much appreciated.

Kind regards

Kevin Evans

Hi Kevin,
The following may be of interest.
Source: Gloucestershire Family History Society (GFHS)
Burials at St James, Chipping Camden:-
04/11/1819, Mary YARNELL, aged 70
05/03/1821, John YARNELL, aged 67

If you wish, I could check the St Ethelburgh, Ebrington baptism records (Ref: PFC 131 IN 1/3 1), to see if Samuel's baptism occurred there?

Hi Victor

Yes that might turn up something.

My wife's maiden name was Yarnall, so that's why I have been researching the name.

What is of interest to me is that there were two Yarnalls, John and Phillip, who emigrated to America with the pilgrim fathers. I wondered if there is any relationship going back to them.

It's taken some years to get this far, but it has been a wonder journey finding out just what happened to the family.

Thank you

Kevin
