Interesting because as far as I knew, once a child has been adopted out of the family, they are no longer part of that family.  I suppose in this case (I remember the search for the relatives), the ones in Ukraine knew nothing about their relative, whilst his adopted daughter appeared to be in touch with him.  I wonder what would have happened if he'd had more legitimate children?

As I read the newspaper article, I think the judge found in favour of the daughter because the deceased had made a gift of the house to her before his death, therefore it was no longer part of his estate which if he died intestate would go to next of kin according to rules of intestacy. So the fact that she had been adopted out of the family would not be relevant as the deceased could make whatever gifts he wished to any relatives or friends before his death.

I don't normally have the TV on in the mornings, but did so the other week and recognised someone who is in the opening credits.  Don't know their name though.  Any ideas how I could find out which episode they were in so that I could watch that one without having to wade through them all?
