Claims will be accepted by BVD within, generally, 12 years from the date that the administration of the estate was completed and interest will be paid on the money held.

However, BVD will admit claims up to 30 years from the date of death, subject to no interest being paid on the money held, if the claim is received after the 12 year period above has run out.

I am delighted that series 9 is being filmed but I was unaware that as one poster put that the show had been rejuvenated in series 8. I echo LizzieW post that the series is called ' Heir Hunters'.

Interesting because as far as I knew, once a child has been adopted out of the family, they are no longer part of that family.  I suppose in this case (I remember the search for the relatives), the ones in Ukraine knew nothing about their relative, whilst his adopted daughter appeared to be in touch with him.  I wonder what would have happened if he'd had more legitimate children?

I'm hoping for better stories in the next series. I thought the latest series was disappointing the cases just weren't interesting enough. I like the stories where people have Irish ancestry. I can't remember seeing any episodes where there was ancestors from the Isle of Man it would be nice to see any cases with Manx links. One thing I did like on the latest series was the use of stock film footage of Liverpool in 1897 by Lumière that appeared a few times.

I found this last series a bit boring.

NO Bob Smith except in the last few programmes which were repeats which was obvious as 'Grimble' retired in the last series!
