 Hi and welcome to Rootschat,
What a wonderful photo. I would say it was WW1. The nurses look like members of V.A.D., Voluntary Aid Detachment - one is wearing a Red Cross Arm band. Wonder where it was taken?

Thanks Loobylooayr.......
It sort of answers a question about who the man is in the photo (with x above his head).
On the back of it it has the name John, ww1 will fit in with a family member named John.
Unfortunately i don't know where it was taken....

Looks around WW1 but not sure if it's 1914-18 or just before.
They don't look like convalescing soldiers as they're not in hospital blues.
A first aid class in a Church hall somewhere perhaps.
