A little more info would be helpful in the search. What year was Kate born ? Have you found her on a passenger list to the USA ?

I'm sure the U.S. moderator will soon move this to the correct board but in the meantime it would help if you caould fill in some details. You've given a street address and the state but not the town. As well as when was Kate born it would help to know where are this will help identify the correct person. Would she have been single, married or widowed?

This might be her on the passenger list Kate Keaveney aged 18 left Queensland Ireland on the Cantalonia  arrived 27/5/1895 Boston ...There are several Kate's on the 1910 census but none matching that address so far ...Do you know the name of her husband

The passenger manifest gives sister Kate Murphy's address as 596 West Side Ave., Jersey City, N.J.

There are several married women named Kate/Katherine Murphy living in Jersey City in 1910 (but none seem to match that exact address)- do you know the name of her husband or when she arrived in U.S.?

Your original post would seem to indicate that you have already found a record relating to the 1910 US Census? The fact that her brother was emigrating to the US in 1910 would suggest that he should have been enumerated in Ireland during the 1901 census or at least there is a good chance that he was.

Looking for Michael Keaveney of a likely age in Galway in 1901 gives :

http://www.census.nationalarchives.ie/pages/1901/Galway/Dunmore/Cloonkeen/1398753/

where three siblings are listed - Martin 27, Michael 24 and Catherine 28 which would give a birth year of 1873 for the latter which is not a million miles from 1877 and fits the tolerance for ages in those census years.
Derry / Londonderry - McCready, McGruddy, Carlin, McShane, Wilson, Cleary, Crockett
Castlederg - Baxter, Wilson
Inishowen - Callaghan, Duffy, Blieu, Grant, Coyle
Delta County, MI, USA - Cleary
Boston - Ballou
Nova Scotia - Ballou

The 1909 and 1910 Jersey City city directories don't show any Murphys at that address.  There was a Charles Murphy in the 1910 city directory at 27a West Side avenue, but no other Murphys were listed as living on that street.
