North Africa unit
« on: Thursday 06 February 14 07:55 GMT (UK) »
I'm trying to obtain details of the war service of Robert Wilkinson who appears to have served overseas with a military unit in North Africa. I have a letter and Christmas card with the sender's details and address but I don't understand the jargon. Can anyone help please?
Peter

From a quick look I'd say Driver Wilkinson served in the Royal Army Service Corps.
Can't decipher which company though.
Possibly 296 General Headquarters car company?

Definitely RASC with the T/ before the Service No.
Perhaps we would be able to say more if the R/H/ side of the letter was complete.
