I wonder if anyone has access to the Worfield parish registers who can check a baptism for me please?

Family search has Stephen Whitehill son of Charles and Sarah baptised Worfield 10 June 1752 born 8 June.

Hello Barbara I am also researching the Whitehill family I am trying to find any more information on Stephen Whitehills parents & siblings I have found some of them but not all. did you have any comeback on the  worfield Shropshire parish registers? regards Noreen

How interesting to find a Whitehill researcher.

I did manage to get copies of PR entries for Worfield. I will have a look and see what I have for the family.

My husband is connected through Louisa Whitehill (Stephens' daughter) who married James Stevens.  Their daughter married Malcolm Lewin from another East India Company family.  What is your connection?

I have also found a marriage for Louisa to George Bartley in 1823 Bombay india so she must have married twice

That marriage doesn't sound right. 

I have Louisa bap in Bombay on 25 November 1781.  I haven't found her marriage to James Stevens as yet.

I have the orig image of find my past on the date I gave you but her name is louisa maria whitehill & she puts her mark to the marriage which I find strange  what is a bit difficult is that Charles white had some slaves that took the whitehill name Ii wonder if it could be one of them

I have just been working out why I cocluded that Louisa who married James Stevens was the daughter of Stephen Whitehill.

When Louisa died her executors were William Warden Bell nephew and Charles Forbes Shephered grandson. I believe William Warden Bell was the son of Sarah Whitehill and Alexander Bell?

Do you have Stephen Whitehill's will?  That mentions that his 2 older daughters Mrs Bell and Mrs Torin have his younger daughter Louisa under their care.

I wish I could find the marriage of Louisa to James Stevens. It is very frustrating! Their youngest son had the middle name Whitehill and the name was used again for a grandson, Malcolm Whitehill Lewin.
