Hello Lizzie, I lived in Spring Gardens for the first seven years of my life. Our house was the very first one you came to so I assume ours was number 1. My Name is Chris Samways, I believe the terrace was made up of 10 or 12 houses and was slightly elevated so we could look down on Pound Lane. Spring Gardens was approximately situated on beginning of Christchurch bypass as you go towards Somerford. I have some photo's but at present not sure where, i will be looking for them because i wish to build up a picture of my life history for future generations. I hope you are able to read this and if of help please reply, you are the first tangible contact i have found.
All the very best to you
Chris Samways

Hello and welcome to Rootschat.
I know my grandfather's residence at marriage was 3 Spring Gardens, but I don't know whether they continued to live there after they were married.
The two pictures I have were taken in August 1921 four months after my grandparents married. I would be interested to know if the house looked anything like Spring gardens

Thank you. Possibly they were visiting a friend or relative and that house belongs to them. Maybe the friend or relative was the photographer.
