Thank you to all who have provided that lovely information.
It has all been useful.
Now - how can I find out where he was either married or born?
Thanks again you intrepid researchers.

This certificate should show the parents details including place and date of their marriage.
Transcriptions are available in NSW [$20] and a cheaper option to purchasing the full certified certificate.

I note the report of his death was in the Bendigo Advertiser...perhaps he was from Victoria.

I wondered if this is Caroline's burial record.  Born c1869

http://www2.mcb.wa.gov.au/NameSearch/details.php?id=KC00001552

She appears on the electoral rolls as Caroline Blanche COOPER and with occupations nurse and housekeeper.

COOPER Caroline B
District Perth  Reg#2423  1943

Certs are a bit pricey in WA but it may help you with your research.

Cheers  :)

Cando Merlin and Muss
Thanks heaps. I am now on track. I suspect that Caroline was D'Arbon not D'arbou.
Again thanks for all your assistance.

I am the g grand daughter George Muckle. His daughter Catherine Frances married Thomas Fergus Cooper and they had four children. Does that help you rule out the Muckle family?
