Hello
Thanks for the message. Yes the generation you mention are my husband's parents. I wonder if you can direct me to best source for the notes on the family you mention...particularly the family of seven listed . Where did you find that information please? Obviously I'm a beginner !

A couple of free reaources...

www.cheshiiredbms -org-uk

www.freebmd.org.uk

www.familysearch.org

http://cgi.csc.liv.ac.uk/~cprdb/Live/v3.6/database.html

All the sites need learning to get the maximum out of them

1851 & 1881 census can be viewed for free on the subsc sites findmypast & ancestry, you can also get 14 days free trial on most subsc sites BUT remember to cancel you card details!

Try your local library to see if they offer use of the sites, ours offer free of charge. near Chester RO pay them a visit the staff are very helpful and someone visiting will help you.

If living in Crewe check out the library for the Crewe Chronicle for details of an inquest in 1930,

I feel that there are two different families around the same area and time period. Both James Bayley as head of household.
I'm a member of the James Bayley and Ada Alice (Hockenhull) variety! Quite enjoying this ...pity Christmas preparations getting in the way!
We have an Eva not Eve as far as we are aware. Thanks for all the help.

Norma this is your BAYLEY family, I have just 'skimmed' through the census returns and I get back to the one in the opening post. James b 1877 father William b 1851 is the month old baby referred to.
