Hi,

Have had a look through passenger lists on a couple of occasions but no luck with Richard Snr, Ann or young Richard on outward passenger lists under Gillgrass or some variations I tried - they were mis-transcribed on that 1870 Olyphant Blakely, Luzerne, Pennsylvania census so could well be mis-transcribed on the passenger lists as well.  - unfortunately the UK return passenger lists don't start until 1878 so they may not appear on those either.

Hi,

Statewide registration of births and deaths in Pennsylvania did not begin until January, 1906.

Luzerne Co. did start recording records somewhat earlier, but not as early as you're looking for.  https://familysearch.org/learn/wiki/en/Luzerne_County,_Pennsylvania#Vital_Records
