Samuel Gallaway(1770-1834)

I am seeking any information about my GGGGrandfather who was the father of James Charles Gallaway (1809-1886), a prominent Congregationalist minister.  In a Congregationalist Yearbook in 1886, James Charles' father Samuel was described as follows: "His father, who came of a family of Norfork famers, held an important post under Government.  His mother (Deborah East) ...was the sister of the Rev. Timothy East of Birmingham." 
We have his will, but have been unable to find anything more about Samuel or is ancestors.

Anyone have any information?

Only one Samuel Gallaway born around similar time in Norfolk:

Samuel Gallaway bp.30/7/1775 Bexwell, Norfolk, son of John and Sarah Gallaway.

Looking at Bexwell baptisms on FreeReg John and Sarah had a number of children including a number of John's who died (they appear in burials for Bexwell).

Extremely interesting are 2 burials at Bexwell:

John Gallaway - Farmer - bur.11/3/1761 (would appear to be other John's father according to baptism 1740/1741).

John Gallaway bur.27/3/1782 - many years an eminate (as transcribed, guess vicar couldn't spell eminent) Farmer (who sounds like the husband of Sarah and father of Samuel).

John Gallaway of Bexwell, married Sarah Foster 16/2/1768 Downham Market, Norfolk (by Licence).

I note that when Samuel died in 1834 his circa birth year is 1777 which ties in nicely with the Samuel I've found.
