hi dawn , sorry re read your reply lol, so here is what my daughter is looking for , the archives have a file of records on josef fingerneissl , he was born in austria but came to this country before ww2 , he had an english wife and owned a shop ! when war broke out his shop was taken off him and he was sent to an interment camp on the isle of man , tho he was austrian he was still deemed alien and probably not trustworthy , the story goes that they tried ti ontern his wife too , but she was freed since she was english josef was sent to one of the camps and was still there for some reason n the 1950s , he never returned to his family , my daughter is trying to find info as to why this was and why was he not naturalised and any info that can shed light on his demise . she went online to the archives and they have approx 58 pages which as you can imagine is going to cost , so she is hoping if anyone is going there they can have a look and see if it worth the cost ??, i have ordered records myself and seem to have a few pages that have only a few words on

not really worth paying for these lol !!!
if anyone is going there we would really appreciate ad over view of what is actually in there .
many thanks
krissy
