Incorrect name for the groom's father on the marriage certificate.

OK So details at marriage would be helpful?

Sorry, I am unable to give you any further details.  The West Bromwich & Birmingham marriages both seemed to be good contenders & so I wrote to both registrar offices explaining that I was searching for the marriage of my ancestor Henry Kendrick with the checking point being the name of Henry's father which was John Kendrick.
Sandwell & Birmingham registrar's offices have now both sent me letters to inform me that the groom's father was not named John Kendrick in both cases. That's as much as they will tell you without you actually purchasing the certificate. It's the best way of obtaining a certificate though cos if the checking details that you provide them with do not match they write to inform you & they return your cheque so that you have not wasted your money & with the certificates costing £10 each mistakes can soon mount up.
I only wanted to post the fact that the Birmingham & West Bromwich marriages were incorrect just in case this info could help someone else in the future who may have been thinking along the same lines in their own research.

KENDRICK  Henry  15  Kensington  1a 151

Deaths Jun 1872

Do Henry Kendrick & Martha Dursley appear on your family tree?

I am trying to track down the correct Henry Kendrick who was my ancestor. There are two possible likely marriages for him with one of them marrying in 1872 in West Bromwich to a lady named Martha Dursley. I spotted this marriage on the Family Search website but unfortunately no actual date or church was given.
The checking point for me would be the name of the groom's father  ~  My Henry Kendrick was the son of John Kendrick.
Does anyone have this couple on their family tree please?  If so, could you possibly help me to determine if this might be the correct entry for Henry Kendrick who was the son of John Kendrick.
Thank you.

I have a Henry Kendrick born Wednesbury 1851 (registration district for Wednesbury was West Bromwich) he is the son of Enoch and Hannah. Enock is one of the Kendrick family names.

Cannot tell you who he married as I haven't researched him yet.
Kendrick, Byng, Fellows, Grainger, Bassett, Hughes, Rickward. Staffordshire.

Hi, many thanks for your message. I'm afraid that that isn't my Henry Kendrick as I know that his father was definitely named John Kendrick.
I have seen mention of the name Enoch amongst the BMDs for Kendrick's of Wednesbury & the surrounding areas but I haven't actually come across that name within my own tree.
Thanks again.
