Riverboat people: BEAUCHAMP
« on: Friday 24 January 14 11:05 GMT (UK) »
New to Roots and just browing around to get the feel of things when I came across you defending us boaters - Myself and my twin, Margaret & Janet Beauchamp (as was) come from a very long line of boatmen. My father was Albert Joseph, his twin brother was Abel and their siblings were Lucy (Married to Ted Hough), George (Married to Mary Cartwright) and Fanny (Married to Albert Hough) (I believe there were two other children with different names according to the census but know nothing about them).  Their parents were George & Clara Beauchamp.  Janet and I have gone back further but too much to list here.   Have you heard of any of us?   We may know your family name.

My family Tree is linked to a lot of other boating  family's as most are, main links are to the Humphries, Carters ,Lane  ,Holt ,Wood, Bradshaw , Ducketts,  Stokes, Sibley & Slater , Mander & Monk my line of working boatmen is 7 generations on my Granddads side & four on my Nan's .Nan's line cover the Hale, Osborne, Stevens, to name a few.
My full birth name is Jeannette Ann Harrison but I had  to use Jane Harrison as Jeannette was already in use .
