Evening all

need help converting an FTM file ( family tree maker 12) to gedcom.
my beloved pc was victim to a virus and i have lost all my programs. i cannot find my installation disc's for ftm 12 only ftm 10 which will not open my files, can any one help? luckily i always back up my family tree onto a usb drive and have it stored on there

Try phoning Ancestry, explain the problem, and they may be able to let you download online and then just use your backup usb to restore file. They will have your details if you registered with them.

What software will you be exporting the gedcom file into?

Some of them will read the FTM file!

E.G. I use RootsMagic4 - which will import FTM files (2006 and earlier).
So it is worth checking the import capabilities of your software.
