Hi flst,

I posted it for the "Commentary" at the end, a good bit of extra information, and to advise Yule to possibly contact the Historical Society for assistance, if not done so already.

Tom

PS Ruskie, I put that down to a wee typo.
Scotland - Buchanan, Thomson, Pat(t)erson, Stewart, Ritchie, Tracey
Ireland - Tracey, Conroy, Pat(t)erson.

Hi All, Ruskie....... Sorry,.. Alison was born in 1776c I am always getting my 17s and 18s puddled up when doing the family tree......there must be a name for it ha ha!! I have Alisons death certificate here which I printed off SP but I cannot find Robert Yules death, so I take it he must have died between 1851 and 1855. Alison (Alice) was aged 83 yrs on the 1861 census and living at 4 Darnchester, Coldstream with her daughter Elizabeth Yule born 1809, her son Robert Yule born 1824, and her Grandaughter Elizabeth Yule born 1843. Also James her son and his family were living next door to them. I have spoken to the Vicar of Eccles Church, and also Scottish Borders.Gov who have checked the parish records and buriel records for Ednam, Eccles and Chirnside, all have been most helpful but unable to find any information. I have also checked the buriels for Coldstream and although James and family are buried at Lennel I cannot find Robert or Alison. Once again Thank you all for your time answering my post.

I finally found the 1861 census entry in Ancestry. I was searching for an Alison Yule but she's down as Alice Brown. The rest of the family appear as Yale, not Yule. I have left a note pointing this out. :)
