1841 Census - Hinton
« on: Monday 20 January 14 16:22 GMT (UK) »
Request lookup in 1841 census for Jane Hinton, born about 1824 in Marshfield.   She married George Fishlock 16 Jan 1847 in Marshfield.   There are a number of Hinton families in Marshfield in 1851 but I am unable to link Jane to any of them.   Hopefully the 1841 will show her parents and if anyone has access to baptisms for Marshfield that would be equally as good if not better  :)

Thank you Kay, that's fixed her parents.   The grandson mentioned in 1861 could well be Jane's son, Thomas Hinton Fishlock, bap 28 Jan 1848.

It is possible he was double counted if that night he happened to be with his grandparents but his parents had counted him as usually at home. :D

You could be right, just like the old school photos where you have your picture taken at one end and run to the other end and beat the camera.   Lots of identical twins in those days ;D
