biz.......     since you put up the post....   it may be important that anyone has can shed light beyond what i have given send it to you and you follow up the material ie cert references so that after a week or so you can put an article up on the journos page... or maybe put up this convo link from rootschat so he knows that there is a convo going on......     rootschatters can find the owners of teddy bears in airports and lawd knows who we as a collective have found over the years........

regarding my reply 3 >  Harper airman.....

"Harper; Mabel Sophi[ae]" registered as   Births September quarter of 1876  at    Erpingham [4b69]
and it looks to me she dies a spinster listed as
December quarter of 1954   Harper; Mabel S. aged 78 registered Brighton[ 5h45]
but that would need to be confirmed

so there may not be any leads there unless there was a probate reference......

the next child in that family was as follows>

Marjorie Harper   [ Erpingham 4b74]of registered Births Jun 1893 dies in the
June quarter of  1909  aged  13years  [Erpingham 4b50]
so there wont be any leads on that person.... God rest them

update>>>>>>>>*****
I just had a look at the image of that Haynes family  ... cos I was having difficulty locating some cert refs>>>>

It should read

Henry
Elizabeth
James
Agnes Sarah
William Chas  < airman
Florence Sussanah
Horace
 & Connie ...............

so the first cert on the search is >
Births June quarter of 1892  for Haynes; Florence Susannah registered at Aylesbury    3a740,

uuummmm   there are 4 potential marriages for Florence S marrying between 1913 and 1917 , and without prs I cannot prove any were this soul   but it would be worth investigating.

Connie Eveline Haynes born in 1896 registered at Aylesbury died age 67 registered at Uxbridge in the Dec quarter of 1963..
Maybe there is a probate reference for her which indicates family.....
And it looks like she also was spinster.

And the of this  March quarter of 1894  Haynes ;Horace    registered at Aylesbury [ 3a756]
Marriages Dec 1920 Haynes; Horace to a Miss [UNKNOWN] Bell registered at Aylesbury[3a2319]

Miss [UNKNOWN] Bell

but that marriage produced a few children........  they are  registered at Aylesbury.........
cos they may be living I will not give the names

and of Peter there is a few marriages open for option of kin of the airman, but again without prs there is no way of knowing

Daphne could have married but it wouldnt have been until at least 1945/6 but I am not seeing anything......

Stanley Ashman is my  (Frank Ashman) brother

My nan is still alive - (Mod Comment:name removed as per rootschat policy on living persons)  if this of any help

His Children are both dead.
Eileen Catherine Minna Ashman -1911 – 1992 - I think she had a son with her first husband
Douglas Stanley Ashman - 1914 – 1991 - no record of marriage or kids

Let me know if you require any further data to validate this.

I also have photos of Stanley in his army attire and a copy of the church paper for his funeral.

Daniel...welcome to rootschat.......    to recieve and use the personal message system could you just put up two more posts ...whether u talk about the family or the weather does not matter but for us to talk to you u need to get over the small hurdle of rootschat ..........   good on ya for coming forward and hope you can reunite at least of the servicemen...

fastfusion :)

Daniel........   the search I did on Douglas was quite thorough and to requote what I found could you look into that please.....? >
""""Births Jun 1914 Douglas S  ASHMAN    [ Lamb]   registered at  Clutton    5c   806*****

so given that , she may have remarried after raising the children on her own.....
also those two children would now be dead but there could be marriages for them with offspring
Douglas married Sheila C Birrell [registered Marriage Jun quarter 1940 Fulham    1a949]
there were 2 children off that marriage born in Somerset and they may be still alive

Lionel Edward Harper born 22nd March 1878 has his death registered in March quarter of  1970 aged 92 at Sittingbourne in Kent [5f1984]......

maybe the death certificate itself would give the imformant and if there is any kin from that......

HELLO ALL

Some useful information coming up here but...

Please can everyone remember that it is against Rootschat Policy to post information (even partial information which could lead to identification) about anyone who is still living, or may still be living - even if that information is available in the public domain eg FreeBMD etc.

Thanks
