Samuel Bede Cooper Birth/Baptism/Marriage details help!

I have hit a brick wall with Samuel Bede Cooper.  He is on the census as being born in Selston, Nottinghamshire about 1805.  He married a Sarah (surname unknown) before 1841.  The children I have found are Cornelius Cooper born abt 1826 in Alfreton, Derbyshire.  Joseph Bede Cooper born 1827, Selson, Derbyshire and Frederic Cooper born 1835.  I am a bit confused as to the place names being the same but in two counties.  Sarah is on census as being born 1809 in Heanor Derbyshire.  Samuel was a schoolmaster.  He was down in the 1861 census, in Poplar, Middlesex as a widow living with his niece, a governess, Anne Jane Bennett or Burnett born 1831 in Herefordshire.  I can't seam to link her to him.  There are various Samuel and Sarah Cooper combinations from the same area that are not my couple to make things even more confusing! 

Any pointers in the right direction would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks! I don't know why I didn't find that!  Must be because I was looking for Bede not Bedee as the middle name.  Who knows!  Shows two minds are better than one.  I will carry on digging using that and see if it gets me anywhere else.

Hi Mel, this is very exciting, we'd got as far back as my three times great-grandfather Joseph Bede ourselves. He moved round England as a 'commissions agent' (illicit bookie?) before dying in Birmingham where the family were for several generations. His son James Charles, grandson James Bede, great-grandson James Bede (always known as Bert), great-great-grandson James Bede, I'm Stephen James Bede and my eldest son Joshua James Bede, Bede has been pronounced 'Beed' by us for at least the last 4 generations?

Selston is right on Derbyshire border, perhaps the boundary changed or record keepers were confused?

In the Staffordshire, Dioceses Of Lichfield & Coventry Marriage Allegations And Bonds, 1636-1893, there is a marriage Licence for them 2 Apr 1824...

Samuel's father named as Joseph Cooper
Sarah's father deceased and mother Martha Flint appeared for Sarah

Only found an index for their marriage so far, lists witnesses George Bagshaw/Sarah Waters and the date of Lic. is the same as marriage on the index.
