Final thoughts for anyone researching Nathaniel Archibald. It seems likely that the Nathaniel Archibald who died Bellisle, Derrykeighan parish (c.1782-1866) was the same Nathaniel Archibald who held land in Aghadowey (1833 tithes) probably through marriage:

It is possible that this Nathaniel Archibald was married three times:

First marriage: 1st Garvagh Presbyterian Church.
3rd April 1812 Nathaniel Arsbell (Archibald) to Sarah McPherson.

Second marriage: Magilligan Presbyterian Church
Marriage no.63
Married at Mrs Kane's, Tircrevan: July 10th 1830 - Nathaniel Archibald of Ballylintagh, Co Antrim (Mr Stewart's congregation) to Mrs Elizabeth Kane, widow, Tircrevan. Present - John Taite, Woodtown & Betty Quinn.

Third marriage: Roseyards Presbyterian Church 16 April 1858.
Nathaniel Archibald of Bellisle, farmer, full age, widower, son of John Archibald, farmer to Mary Thompson, full age, widow, formerly McCallen dau of Daniel McCallen, farmer: Witnesses - John White and Alexander Kane.

hi. i saw a tate in woodtown in the 1831 census.  do you know how the Tate/ Tait line related to any of the Kane line???very interested...  in 1849 my James Tate and wife Ann and kids immigrated to America, dying in Connecticut. they had a Kane gal in  their home in 1850.
