WDYTYA USA New Series Starting Tonight!

Did anyone see Kelly Clarkson last night?  An interesting story however, there was rather too much hugging for me.

If any consolation, Kelly Clarkson was the most insipid (IMO) story in this season

Was the first one of the series shown in the US.

Just watched this episode on BBC iPlayer.

Have to say I'm not as keen on US WDYTYA (Sorry ) - it always seems so rushed and the constant  upbeat music annoys me. That said I will watch the series and look forward to Jim Parsons ( Sheldon my fav character from Big Bang Theory),

Thanks for that - hadn't realised 'Sheldon' was one of the subjects. He's great, isn't he? have you yet found yourself knocking 3 times on a door and saying the person inside's name, over and over!! I have!!  I shan't miss that one.

I didn't know who Christina Applegate is and she got on my nerves with her constantly saying 'Okay..' before the rest of every sentence. It got so that was all I heard!

Don't know who Kelly Clarkson is either  - but I recorded it anyway.

So far, I think the two episodes are an improvement on the previous series. I'm quite enjoying them.

Christina Applegate's story was so sad, clearly done for her father.  Not one to be watched without a tissue to hand.

Kelly's hugs got on my nerves too plus she talked so fast it was annoying.  Her ancestor on the on the other hand was an amazing find.

I found the story in the Kelly Clarkson episode very interesting as I also have an ancestor who was in the Civil War so to find out more about conditions etc, was very welcome.

I do agree with previous posts though - too much hugging and also too many "Oh my God," "Cool" and "awesome" moments!

It doesn't seem to be on the schedule for next week.  Hope they haven't dropped it.

I think they said they were giving it a weeks break because of the Winter Olympics.

I liked the way she regaled us with her thoughts on the Civil War yet had never even heard of the infamous Andersonville prison. Too much hugging, too many 'wows' and when she had to ask what 'temperance' was I nearly fell off my chair. I stuck with it mainly as the ancestor in question had an interesting story.

Just caught up with Kelly Clarkson episode on BBC iPlayer.
Thought the story of her Civil War Union soldier then Sheriff then Senator ancestor was "Awesome".
Kelly was a little bit annoying. And I cringed when she spoke to the grave of her G-g-grandfather
