Richard Lindop

Hello all, I have an ancestor Richard Lindop (born abt 1769) who married Hannah Sargeant in 28th April 1782 in Norton in the Moors, North Staffordshire. I am struggling with who he was. According to Ancestry and FindMyPast only 4 Richards were born in N. Staffs and S. Cheshire but I can find no link with my Richard. A possible father could be a William Lindop married to Mary Rowson. Any help would be most appreciated.

Hello I am from the Lindupp family in Sussex, great granddad Edward was born in Shoreham in 1838.  Probably not to do with you but spellings do change over the years.

If he married in 1782 he was probably born earlier than 1769; have you searched for earlier baptisms?
