Have 1 Morton in my ancestry:-
Caroline Morton (parents Robert & Mary) born Hull 1811
She married  Francis Fox Ashton 1833 Sculcoates.
Died age 37 in 1849 living at Higson Court, Blanket Row, Hull.
Blanket Row still there close to Marina but no houses, just industrial & car park.
Let me know if any interest.

I have just read your message and would like to suggest this data from my family : In the 1851 census "David Lyons (78) listed as  Chelsea Pensioner Sergeant 3rd Veteran Battalion living at 9 Higson's Court, Hull . Also there is Daniel (23) butcher, Isabella (23) dau. in law and James (21) son butcher.  Benjamin Watson is listed as a lodger Butcher."
Part of my family lived in that area for another 40 years.  I would be happy to provide you with much more info.  The map of 1853 shows the area in real detail.

i know that my great great grandmother, janet foster (nee kennedy?) was born in Sculcoates around 1824 and her husband George Foster, a pork butcher, was born around 1816 in Hull,  are there any more Kennedy's in the area at that time? or anyone tracing kennedy's?   could that be the correct name?

Thomas Day (father of Esther) dob 1783
Mary Day (nee Atkinson) mother  of Esther DOB 1805  Mary Day was born in East Halton Immingham and Esther Day in Barton County of Lincoln...

Hi,
Can anyone tell me about the Sanatorium, Hedon Road, Hull.  I am looking for Alice Mary Wells b1906 and listed as a patient on 1911 census at the Sanatorium but only aged 5.  Dose this mean she was disturbed or just ill with flu ?
Many thanks
