I do not know if this is relevant but /I think there was a company called Hayward Williams in Cheshire in early 1970's. I do not know if this was a family name.

spelling was different - Heywood Williams!!

From Thomas's marriage record to Elizabeth Harvey in Australia we know that his father is John Hayward Williams however that is all that is recorded and really all we know.

From our electoral records we know that Thomas lived with George Few in Adelaide and there are no records for him prior to the mid 1880s.

Further descendents are buried here all with different spelling from Hayward to Haywood to Heywood.

Was George Few a relative? It would fit with that marriage of John and Elizabeth.

By the way I did remove my post at your request, but I think you should expect to find some unpleasant details about some of your ancestors and not try to hide them.  Try to find the reasons or explanations but don't exclude them.

Have you read the newspaper article that makes mention of someone who is likely part of your family tree (free to search) at our absolutely fantastic website 'TROVE'.    Here is the link:

http://trove.nla.gov.au/ndp/del/article/105615829  The Daily Herald 24 Jan 1914.   It is about a court hearing, Thomas Hayward WILLIAMS was the defendant and there's mention about George Few too,as he was one of the witnesses against Thomas.
