Hello bodger,

William Henry Harris and his wife Mary (nee.Real/Rile) were my gt gt grandparents.
As they married about 1855 I think that the headstone would have read 1860.
The names of the two children, Rebecca was probably called after William's mother
whilst Mary may have been called after her mother. Mary had a sister called Louisa
which fits in with the names on the headstone.

William and Mary went on to have five more children.

William was a coastguard stationed at Costello Bay, close to Inverin.

Hello bodger,

Yes, I have replied to Turtle Bunbury regarding the posting.

It is amazing that such a headstone has been retrieved by the sea after so long.

Regards,
Leslie
