Golcar Wellhouse (New Connexion) Methodist Church
« on: Friday 10 January 14 19:56 GMT (UK) »
Does anyone have access to the baptism/dedication records for the above Methodist Church? I've been unable to find the baptism record for my GGgrandmother, Grace Parkin, who was born about 1825 in Longwood (according to censuses). Some of her many siblings were baptised/dedicated at Golcar Pole Moor Baptist Church but I've never been able to find a record for Grace.

Any help would be much appreciated.

Hi Trevor

Many thanks for trying to find Grace but unfortunately it's not the one I'm looking for. My Grace's parents are Samuel Parkin and (I think) Mary Sykes.

West Yorkshire Archive Service have  Baptisms 1817-1958 and Marriages 1843-1881 and 1908-1992.

Transcriptions and NBI are merely finding aids.  They are NOT a substitute for original record entries.

Thanks for that, BumbleB. Looks as though I'll have to take a trip to WY Archives. 😊
