hi,
Is Arthur Stanley GURNEY who received the VC in 1908 an ancestor to Regianald Richard Gurney. My brother seems to think so.

Arthur Stanley GURNEY was unmarried when he enlisted and was killed in action. Perhaps he was the father of an illegitimate child or children, but if not then he is nobody's ancestor.
Looking at your other thread, they seem to be different families.

Wasn't Reginald the son of Werribee Walter GURNEY (known as Walter?) and Annie KENNEDY?
