Hello Granty56 - sorry for the delay in responding to you.  My dear Mum passed away after some months of illness and it has been a distressing time as you can imagine.  Any photos you care to take would be most welcome.  Thank you so much for the description and offer of photos

I have just come across this website. My great aunt Ethel Mackenzie ran Burnt House as a guest house during WW2 and lived there with her husband and son. My mum lived in the lodge at the end of the drive with her mum and dad at the same time. My mum and sister visited back in the early 2000s and did speak to the current owner.
