You'd be best buying his marriage cert, which will give his age and occupation and his father's name and occupation. You could easily chase the wrong family , esp if you rely on trees on Ancestry!
The marriage information came from his service records not a tree on Ancestry.
Not disputing the marriage at all, but wouldn't rely on an Ancestry tree myself for parents' names.
