« on: Sunday 29 December 13 20:31 GMT (UK) »
Hi folks I am looking for info on my grandfathers sister. Sarah was born to my gr,grandmother Elizabeth Kane  they lived at merrion st Belfast the father was not on the birth cert as my gr grandfather had died a number of years before. Not long after Sarah was born my gr grandmother died. Sarah's brothers john and Thomas where put into care I have been told that Sarah was taken by someone else and I think adopted and that she might have died shortly after this. Any help would be appreciated.   Thanks jim

Previous topic hints that she might be buried at Derrylin- have you checked to see if Elizabeth and her baby were buried there? You also said that the baby supposed to have died aged about 4 months- now that you know her name was Sarah (and not Elizabeth) have you checked the online civil registration index (goes up to 1921 for Nothern Ireland counties) to see if you can spot a likely death for her (and her mother)?

Doubtful if you will be able to find much as that was before adoption was an official procedure as it is now.

Have you checked to see if Sarah was also buried at Milltown?
