1841 Census Glasgow

Hi, I am looking for a Patrick and Catharine Kerr.  Both born Ireland 1776.  They are in the 1851 Census in Saltmarket Glasgow with a son Patrick.  They are 75 years old their son is 25.  Is there any sign of them in the 1841 Census or the 1861 Census.  The son went to India presumably to the Indian Army and married and had a son (Patrick) and then he is mentioned in the 1881 Census back in Scotland. Is it possible with this profusion of Patricks to find them.  Patrick and Catherine surely must have died between 1851 and 1881 but I have had no sucess of getting their deaths.  Please I would apprectiate any help with this puzzle  Thankyou

Then after you mull the two entries change the date to 1851 and see what turns up.

Son is 25 and parents 75?
Not biologically impossible but seems unusual ... Almost like there is a generation missing there?

Just posting this as a possibility for further research. From 1861:

Margaret Duffy 42 servant b. Ireland
Patrick Duffy 18 Railway Servant b. Ireland
Cathrine Kerr 88 mother b. Ireland

Address: 102 St Marys Wynd, Stirling

Think this is them on the 1861 census Patrick b 1806 Ireland Catherine b 1805 Ireland address 21/2 Low Green Street Calton Glasgow his occupation the same as on the 1851 Mason's Labourer son not there .....must be a misprint on their birth years .Do You know what other family they had and who Patrick ( son ) married

You should be able to get a death for them on Scotlands people if that is them on the 1861 census did their son marry Margaret Dupree ?

What year did the son marry?

Were his parents listed as deceased?

Think the 1851 ages should have read 45 not 75.

Patrick Kerr (as on 1861 census) died at the same address - 97 Saltmarket, Glasgow - on 8/4/1864 of Chronic Bronchitis - aged 60.    Shown as married to Catherine McGirvie and informant on death was Peter Kerr, son? (think that's what it is - writing is atrocious).

Patrick's parents are shown as Patrick Kerr, Labourer and Mary nee McMahon (both deceased).

Have looked at 3 different sites and can't find them in 1841 census.
