Crikey, where could Matthew Du Bourg (Dubourg) have been baptised in the 1780s?

Hi all

So, where is the 1780s London or Surrey area baptism for Matthew Dubourg (Du Bourg)?

I wonder if anyone could please help me find Matthew's baptism. He was probably born in the early to mid 1780s, maybe 1782-1786, possibly in the Greater London and Surrey area somewhere.

In 1800 he is an apprentice to Chas. Rosenberg of East St, Lambeth, where he seems to remain until his death and burial there in 1828. His St Mary's Lambeth burial states that he died in his 44th year.

I'm trying to find his baptism to identify his parents, which will help me to fit him in to or out of the other Dubourg (Du Bourg) families of the London area.

I've already tried Ancestry, FindMyPast, FreeReg & FamilySearch without any success.

Maybe his baptism is amongst the Boyd's baptisms or other sources of baptisms for the region?

I hadn't checked them yet. Nothing coming up under Dubourg or Du Bourg though. I'll have more of a play under some variations, but perhaps it's somewhere else. I wonder if it's a catholic baptism?

From skimming the web for Mathieu Dubourg I'd say that Catholic is the best bet

Don't forget the Huguenot exodus...a lot of them settled in the Spitalfields and Shoreditch areas. There were some very large groups of them.
