Hi mosher, I found the information on ancestry.com. Twelve different people had posted this James Murphy, born in Cork in 1816, and have Catherine Sheehan as his wife, with her also marrying a Phillip Smith and John Walter, the information also matched their children's names to my list. You might already know what I do about Anastasia (1847-1939) she was married to John Duncan Gow, children Catherine (1873-1951) and James (1875-1875), then married Michael Kelly. She then had a relationship with Percival Cochrane, who died in a mining accident in Mitta Mitta in 1890, they had three children Sarah (1879-1954), Percival (1881-1937) and Elizabeth (1885-1961), she is stated as being Percival's widow when he died.
I have found some interesting stories in a book Pioneers of the Omeo Plains, by Jane Vince Pendergast, which mentions John and Michael Murphy and their uncles Thomas and Michael Sheehan (Sheean) and John Higgins, Catherine's brothers. The Sheehan's father died when he was only 35 and their mother Matilda married James Pendergast.
