What year was your Charles born ? Why do you think you have Bellamy relatives in Collingwood ?

There was a Charles Bellamy  Wellington St W Collingwood Town Simcoe showing on the 1921 census that could be a possibility - immigrated early 1900's though  ???

Charles Bellamy  47 Born 1874 England. Immigrated 1906. Freight Watchman.
Edith Annie Bellamy  44 Born England. Immigrated 1911.
Florence E Bellamy  8 Born Ontario
Charles Ed Bellamy  7 Born Ontario
George Bellamy  6 Born Ontario

According to the birth of Florence Emily Bellamy August 2 nd 1912, the parents were Charles Edmund Bellamy and Edith Annie Smith.

Marriage 9th June 1911 shows Charles E Bellamy - parents Edward Bellamy and Esther Branch

Canada Voters List shows Charles Bellamy living 134 Wellington Street. Simcoe in 1940. Also at that address was Mrs C Bellamy and the 3 other names listed on the 1921 census.

In 1945 the parents are still living at 134 Wellington Street. Simcoe. Also a married daughter with soldier husband and the youngest son who is a mechanic.

In 1949 the parents and youngest son still at the same address. Youngest son is a sailor.

1953 Charles and Mrs C Bellamy living at 15 Wellington Street. Simcoe.

George Bellamy appears with a wife and  children in the 1972 and 1974 Voters List. Can give the names which would be useful if you use Canada 411

There is apparently only one Bellamy in Collingwood in the white pages. Contact info is provided so perhaps a letter or call will put you in touch with a rellie.

Sandra and polarbear, Thank you so much for your help. Charles Bellamy born in 1874 was my Granddads brother. We knew he went to Canada. A relative said it might be to Collingwood. I will write to the c Bellamy to see if they are related.  :) Thanks again.  Merry Christmas.
