we did a probate search and received a letter saying they had no record of will or probate.
I received an email from Colchester Hospital (he died there) saying they would of put an announcement in the paper calling for relatives (to organise the funeral). they did not keep records on site at the hospital anymore.
I emailed the local newspaper who were not interested in helping at all. I said I would pay for an archive search for searching for a past announcement but as I am overseas it all seemed to hard for them.
On the death certificate the informant is Gillian Pryke (hospital employee)
on his death certificate his name is recorded as William Herbert Norris but his birth cert and his father's will record him as Wilfred.
