It is interesting if your Richard Stanton came from Walsall as on the tree compiled from the various old trees and pedigrees I have I had Richard as the Richard from Horsely Heath (resident not necessarily born there) son of Richard Stanton and Sarah Blackham, son of William Stanton, nailer of West Brom and Jane Whitehouse. The other Richard Stanton mentioned on the tree is Walsall born son of Richard Stanton, spurfiler of Walsall (wife unknown) who was the son of Richard Stanton of Oldbury, Pedlar who married Mary Littlefoot in Walsall in 1757.
This may change the allocation of those mentioned in the 1833 memorandum which are John Stanton of Wednesbury in the county of Stafford, farmer, eldest surviving son and heir of law of Richard Stanton deceased, William Stanton of Horsely in the said county of Stafford, nailor. John Stanton of great Bridge in the same county, engineer; Richard Stanton of Horsely aforesaid, nailor, William Stanton of the same place, Blacksmith; William Stanton of Walsall in the said county, spurbuckle and Nicholas Male of the Borough of Dudley
