John Ravell Cockermouth area

Hi, im looking in to my family in the cockermouth area, they are:

John Ravell B 1858 abt. who married Mary Jane Bell b;1860 (9 brothers and sisters, Farther John b:1837 mother Sarah jane b 1837)
 children were Isabella 1894, Sarah Jane 1896, Ernest Henry 1897-1983 (great grandfather) and Mary C 1899-1981

one of Ernest Henry sons was Henry George Ravell my grandfarther who lived around Bothel.
Any ideas is great as we know nothing of John Ravell as he is not on the 1901 census and Mary bell wife is listed as widow.

1861 census has this possible family in Cockermouth: -

John Ravell, 39, draper b Allerby
Isabella Ravell, 35 b Workington
Sarah Jane, 11 b Newgate
Mary Ann 7 and John 2 both b Allerby

There's a marriage for a John Ravell March qtr 1847 in Cockermouth vol 25 page 49 - one of the possible spouses is Isabella Dalzell.

Cheers guys that's a great help, we don't know when he died I only estimate its around 1899/1900 due to the age of his children on the 1901 census.
