Destroyer HMS Onslow 1917-1918
« on: Wednesday 27 November 13 18:11 GMT (UK) »
I'm having a tough time figuring out what the destroyer HMS Onslow (shown below) was doing in 1917 and '18 when a relative was serving on her. There is plenty of info on her actions during the Battle of Jutland and her successor in World War II, but not so much on this ship for these two years. I think she was with the Grand Fleet operating out of Devonport at least part of this time, but any other information would be appreciated. Thanks.
Marcus

Yikes. Fortunately my relative wasn't drafted to the Onslow until October of '17 (altho he was on the Laverock when it rammed the Medusa near List).

Thanks Cashew.
