Lookup request: Gayhurst Parish, Bucks
« on: Monday 25 November 13 11:54 GMT (UK) »
I am looking for any records for the family PELL in the Gayhurst parish registers from about 1795 to 1875. I don't think there will be many. Particularly interested in:
Baptisms:
William PELL c1850
Caleb PELL c1852
Sarah PELL c1854
Marriages:
John PELL and Elizabeth [?] around 1815-1820
Burials:
John PELL 1848

Any help with these would be very much appreciated.

There doesn't appear to be any parish regs in FamilySearch(IGI).

I would think a look up via BucksFHS databases would be the only way to go.  Unless some one is visiting the the Bucks archives.

Gayhurst Baptisms & burials from 1728 -1812.

Gayhurst Marriages from 1575 - 1849.

There may be more, as they are continually transcribing records.   I would contact them to find out.

For £1, a look up for the marriage will be the best idea.  As it may have occurred outside of Gayhurst.

For the sake of an email to BucksFHS, to find out if they hold the baptisms you require, it's a lot to ask someone for look ups at the archives.  But there are a lot of helpful people about. :)

Have you had a look at the Gayhurst information on the Stoke Goldington Association website:
http://www.mkheritage.co.uk/sga/index.html

If the family were employed by the estate the little church next to Gayhurst House may not be where they worshiped, they may have used the church in the village which would be Stoke Goldington.

A quick look for Pell on the person search facility on the SGA site shows a number of entries.
