Brick Wall - Samuel Young

I am researching for a friend who lives in Australia.

I have a brick wall with Samuel Young born abt 1818 Somerset, parents are Robert and Mary Young. Samuel went to USA around 1840-41 married in Michigan, then went to Canada (1861 census) then onto Australia with wife and children..

I know Somerset is a big county, I even went next door to Devon and ask Devon FHS for name search just incase he may of been born in Devon.

Any help with Samuel will be grately appreciated.

Bapt,not Robert, but Samuel Rodber Young. Possible that Rodber could be his mom's maiden name?

Robert Young married Mary Pester on 10th September 1816 at West Dean. Both resident of  Durnford
