Sarah Aish
« on: Monday 18 November 13 05:14 GMT (UK) »
Please can anyone help me locate information on a Sarah Aish born 1836 Tidenham Gloucestershire,
married a John Pratt about 1867 then married a John Williams 1884 both in Bristol.
John Williams was a Publican of Blue Bowl Pithay, White Bear and Beaufort Arms 1870 - 1884.

Hi 141,

To avoid time spent looking up what you already may have.....

Do you have her on any Census - pre- or post marriages?
If  you are looking for her parents details, do you have a father's name off either  marriage record?

If you could be a little more specific about what information you're after finding, then we can better try to help  :)

Cheers
AMBLY

Hi AMBLY,
I can not find her on early cencus's the first one is 1871 and she is listed as Mary Williams married to my Great Grandfather John Williams, she is on all the rest as Sarah and born in Tidenham, at the moment I am waiting the arrival of the marriage certificate and as you said it should have her fathers name on it.
Thanks for your reply.

Thats not fitting with your first post when you said she married Pratt in 1867 and Williams in 1884.

Are you sure the Mary in 1871 is not a previous wife of John Williams?
Not that I am seeing Sarah as Mrs Prattt in 1871 . . . .

Hi lizdb
John Pratt died Jul-Aug-Sep 1874 but Mary/Sarah was already living with my Great Grandfather
John Williams and already had 3/4 children 2 of which I have their birthday certificates and mother's listed as Mary Williams late Pratt formerly Aish, My Great Aunt Florence  (b) 1870 & Great Uncle John (b)1875 are definitely John Williams's children.
John Williams married a Sarah Pratt Jan-Feb-Mar 1884 and he died the same quarter 1884.
