If anybody lives by St Martin Church in East Horsley, Surrey, England I would like to know if there are any Simmonds Headstones there. Looking for a David Simmonds buried around 1810 & also another David Simmonds buried around 1759.

Cheers

Mike

The surviving memorial inscriptions have been published by the West Surrey FHS but the fiche (MI4) has sold out.

If you can't get to one of their meetings, it might pay you to join and ask for a look up.

Were the family wealthy enough or had sufficient local standing to have erected headstones?

There are no Simmonds headstones listed in the WSFHS transcript for East Horsley.
