Need help is obtaining the full birth date of John Syers Jones. Parents were: John Gregory Jone (b. 1811) and Louisa Williamson (b. 1816).

The Census of 1851 gives his approx year of birth as 1837.
He was baptized in St. Peter's Church, Liverpool, Lancashire on 19 May 1837.

Have tried FindmyPast and FamilySearch but they only provide baptism details.
Reason for seeking his full date of birth is to obtain a copy of his birth certificate from the General Register Office.

Any help appreciated.

Hi Dunlata

Civil registration did not begin until July 1837. If he was baptised in May then he was born just before Civil registration began and so there will not be a birth certificate for him.
