Hello - I am hoping to find out more about my paternal grandmother, Harriet LANE.  I know she was born in 1866, had a son Henry in 1885 and married in 1891 Geo. Fdk HENOCQ.

I am seeking details of her parents, where she lived and did she have siblings.

Do you have the 1891 marriage cert? It shows that she was living at 6 Alpha Place and her father as being John Lane,a paper stainer.

In the 1891 census at 6 Alpha Place Chelsea, John Lane, aged 65 born London, a wall paper stainer, Ann Lane aged 61 also born London, and a wall paper stainer, and their son William aged 20 born Chelsea, a cab lamp cleaner.

I am being very mean and trying to find out without buying the marriage certificate.

An 1881 Census for Harriet Lane age 15 born Marylebone employed as a general servant by the Wonnacott family at 138, Cleveland Street, St Pancras. RG11/187/70/25. A link to it on familysearch here:
