Moon Family in Rolvenden, Kent, UK

Hi, trying to find family info. Henry John Moon immigrated to Australia in 1839 onboard the Cornwall as a bounty immigrant to Mr Francis Clarke of Penrith. The Cornwall record shows him as 17 years old in 1839 and his parents were William Moon and Mary Richardson. I believe William may have been born in 1790 and Mary was Hannah Mary Richardson born in 1795. No other info. Any help would be great. Another Moon family William and Ann from Rolvenden came to Australia in 1839 onboard Maitland. Related?

it is of my distant memory that the user "tedscout" on this forum was doing the Moon family of Australia..... so I would find her on the site and once you have made 3 posts you will be able to send her a personal message ( pm)

2nd ........  I would be using " genuki" , familysearch.org, and I think you will need to consider the researching of Hugh Wallis list of microfilms for the area you are seeking , and the period.
Hugh Wallis can be found in google, or similiarly on the ancestry site.....    so I would check the scope of microfilms which can be ordered through the LDS.

3rd there are numerous resources for Kent which can be found accross Rootschat and I would use the search engine within the site for a variable of thing Ie a) Kent, Rolvenden etc etc

Are you sure it was William/Ann who came to Australia 1839

Hi a bit new at this. Maria moon born 2nd july 1825 in Rolvenden Kent. Came here to Australia on the Cornwall arrived 1 Sept 1839. She was 15 and married Henry Thomas Carter 6 Dec 1840. Just found this all out. Seems like Maria Moon is my great great great grand mother wow hope it helps
