Lookup needed to justify my research about parents the of William Allen from Pewsey/Wilcot parish who married Sarah Thorngate in Wilcot in Dec 1846 and came with their daughter Jane to Victoria in 1856.
William's second marriage to a Martha Creber in Victoria lists his parents to be Stephen Allen and Hannah.
I have a marriage of Stephen Allen to an Anna Bolding 5 Feb 1818 in Milton Lilbourne which states Anna Bolding was a widow.  I believe her name was in fact Hannah nee Sloper who married Stephen Bolding 12 Oct 1811 in Milton Lilbourne and that later in life she just used the first name of Anna?  Anna Bolding married Stephen Allen 5 Feb 1818 in Milton Lilbourne and then can be found in the 1841 Census in Wilcot, Wiltshire.  I have a couple of deaths prior to her second marriage for deceased husband Stephen Bolding but I think there was a Senior and Junior and cannot tell which death would be the correct one.
I have three children that I think that Stephen Allen and Hannah/Anna Sloper may have had which would be George, William and a Stephen Henry but there could be more?
Any help would be gratefully accepted as the Australian section of the family have never known anything for their family prior to asking me for some help.
Cheers   :D

Sorry, didn't realise you had mentioned Milton Lilbourne in your title. Hannah Sloper, spinster 30 married Stephen Bolding, bachelor 58, on 3 Oct 1811, @ Milton Lilbourne.

Thank you jrc11... :-*………..It's great to have the ages of Hannah Sloper and Stephen Bolding I was wondering what the age of the Stephen that died in 1815 was and it was great to hear that Hannah Sloper was 30 years old as that would pretty much go with the second marriage age to Stephen Allen ion the 5 Feb 1818 in Milton Lilbourne……………..Would you have any information on the second marriage about ages or if their was a transcription error with the Anna Bolding (I am so hoping it will be Hannah Bolding nee Sloper) that married Stephen Allen and they are both the same person……Cheers From Gaynor50

Sorry I have been unable to find any additional information. Did William Allen have a brother Stephen? If so This may be the family in the 1851 census.
ALLEN, Stephen Head Married M 72 1779 Farmer
 Pewsey, Wiltshire, England
ALLEN, Anna Wife Married F 68 1783
 Bourton, Wiltshire, England
LEWIS, Mary Anna Visitor Married F 30 1821 Wife
 Pewsey, Wiltshire, England
ALLEN, Stephen Hy Son W M 29 1822 Farmers Son
 Pewsey, Wiltshire, England
KIMBER, Ann Servant Unmarried F 19 1832 House Servant

I do not know of a Bourton - Anna's place of birth, in Wiltshire or the meaning of the W which is the "Condition" column for Stephen jnr. Widower perhaps?

Hi jrc11……………..This is whom I believe to be the parents not the brother as William was born abt between 1823/1826 and whom I believe to be the mother "Anna" is her "also known as" and should be actually "Hannah"………….in the 1861 Census she is boarding with a Charles Page and it says her birth was Bishop Cannings, Wiltshire, England…….In the 1841 Census - Source Citation: Class: HO107; Piece: 1186; Book: 14; Civil Parish: Wilcott; County: Wiltshire; Enumeration District: 11; Folio: 15; Page: 23; Line: 1; GSU roll: 464202………………...it has Stephen and wife "Ann" with daughter Mary and son Stephen…………………….I found William Allen age 15 working as a Agricultural Labourer in 1841 Census - Source Citation: Class: HO107; Piece: 1186; Book: 14; Civil Parish: Wilcott; County: Wiltshire; Enumeration District: 11; Folio: 15; Page: 23; Line: 1; GSU roll: 464202…………..The Stephen Henry Allen you noted as "W" (Widow) unfortunately married an Emily Jane nee King and she died in the Oct 1850 quarter Volume 8 Page 277 Registration District Pewsey……..They were married in St Andrew Holborn, London, England on the 16 May 1850…………….Cheers Gaynor50….. :-\

Hi jrc11…………..Interesting………..I went to look up the marriage in St Andrew, Holborn of the son Stephen Allen that married Emily Jane King and in has in the Witness's an Eliza Jane Sloper King signing as a witness………………sounds promising?………While I was just about to post this I can see that you posted Anna Sloper christening………. ???……….was she actually Anna all along and it was a mistake to write Hannah Sloper as marrying Stephen Bolding as it should have been "Anna"

http://www.historyhouse.co.uk/placeW/essexw02f.html - found a mention of a Mrs Eliza Jane Sloper King, beer retailer, sewardstone street, in the Post Office Directory of Essex in 1874………..
