Searching for the surname of Durrance Of Foston Nr.York.

I am trying to help a friend who is interested in finding any information about a framed piece of lace work which my friend bought at  auction, we believe it was worked by a Mrs Durrance of the Rectory Foston, Nr. Flaxton York.On the back of the frame is attached an envelope containing a letter which we think was written  about  1830 this lace work was a gift to Nellie the ladies Grandaughter. I have searched the census but had no luck.
